Our Support Staff
Deborah Dye, Office Manager
Deborah started with Knoxville Veterinary Clinic in 2009. She is married to husband, Sam, and has two children, Jonathan and Lacey.
Deborah currently has two pets: one dog, a shi-poo named Buddy, and a cat named Gracie.
Donna Flattery, Certified Veterinary Technician
Donna graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1980 with a certified veterinary technician degree and began her career with Knoxville Veterinary Clinic. She completed her certification as a dog obedience trainer through Penn Foster in 2010. With that terrific credential, Donna instructs our beginner dog obedience course at the clinic.
Donna is married to husband, Jerry, and has three children: daughter Robin and sons Matt and Brad. Donna and Jerry have four pets: a miniature schnauzer named Savannah; a black lab, Chubbs; and two cats, Ping and Pong. They recently said goodbye to long-time family pets Cyrus and Stanley.
Christy Hoksbergen, Veterinary Assistant
Christy earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing and her Associate of Science degree in secretarial training from Central Missouri State University.
She joined the team at Knoxville Veterinary Clinic in 2009. Christy had 8½ years of experience as a veterinary assistant at a veterinary clinic in Missouri prior to joining our team in 2009.
Christy and her husband, Doug, have a son, Lane. The family enjoys the companionship of their pet Banjo, a standard poodle, and their multiple horses and donkeys.
Gailen Bradshaw, Veterinary Assistant
Gailen has earned both a Bachelor degree in Education and a Bachelor degree in Fine Art from Northeast Missouri State in 1976. She joined the staff of Knoxville Veterinary Clinic in 2004.
Gailen has five pets: one shepherd mix (Clover); one shih tzu (Violet); one poodle mix (Ivy); and two cats (Artemus and Jessie).
Maria Finan, Part-time Veterinary Assistant
Maria, daughter of Pat Finan and Laura Hollinrake, began working at Knoxville Veterinary Clinic as a part-time high school student in 2009. She works for us after school and over the summer.
Maria has five pets: a black lab mix named Shadow; two cats, Chelsea and Roxxi; a pony named Dream; and a horse called J Jay.
Wendy Pettyjohn, Receptionist
Wendy became our receptionist in 2009. Retired from the VA hospital after 34 years, Wendy now loves spending her time working with animals!
Wendy has one son, Aaron, who lives in Granger, Iowa, with his wife, Jessica; one daughter, Katie, who lives in England with her husband, John; and several very friendly cats.
Nancy Vander Veer, Receptionist
Nancy Vander Veer joined Knoxville Veterinary Clinic in 2007. She is married to husband, Joe, and has three children, Stephanie, Craig, and Bennett. Nancy's four pets include three dogs (Lucky, Charlie, and Molly) and one cat (Chief).
